A.1What is an Organization Tree?

An Organization Tree is the chart that depicts the relationships among the teams, departments and groups in an organization such as the school or company.

You cannot use the Organization Tree unless you have the access privilege to it. Contact the site administrator if you cannot use this function.

DaouOffice also provides the Organization Tree function. With the Organization Tree, it is easier to understand the members of a team and relation between the teams and departments. The Boards and storages can be shared among the departments.

An individual in an organization can be categorized by the position, title and job.

Since the position, title and job differ from an organization to organization, they can be added or deleted as needed by the administrator.

In addition to these three roles, a member type can be designated inDaouOffice. The default member types provided by DaouOffice include the following:

The Manager, Moderator and members of the department can be designated by the site administrator.

Although the site administrator can designate the member type, the administrator cannot change the member type (Manager, Moderator and member of department).

A.2Expansion of Organization Tree

Click the arrow ( )of the Organization Tree at the bottom of the screen to expand the organization Tree.

A.3Checking Profile

You can check the profile of a department or colleague in the Organization Tree. Click a department or user to display the popup menu. Select Profile in the popup menu.

A user profile displays the picture, name, e-mail address and internal phone number of the selected user. A departmental profile displays the name of the head and the number of members of the selected department.

The items displayed in profile are set by admin designated in Site Admin> Personal Profile Management.

If is displayed on the right of department name in profile card, hover mouse over it to check information of higher departments. button is displayed only when there are higher departments.

A.4Sending E-mail

You can send an e-mail to another user or all department members from the Organization Tree. Click a user or department to send the e-mail. Click Send e-mail to all department members or Send e-mail in the profile.

The e-mail address of the selected user or department is automatically input in Recipient in the Write e-mail screen.

A.5Checking Schedule

You can check the schedule of another user in the Organization Tree. Click a user to display the user’s profile. Click Check schedule.

You cannot check the schedule right away if the open option of the calendar is Open after approval. Refer to 5.6 Calendar Settings for more details of open option of calendar.

A.6Search

You can search for a colleague by entering the name, department or e-mail address.

  1. Enter a search word in the search window at the top of the Organization Tree.

  2. Click the Search icon ( )
