2.1What is a dashboard?
A dashboard is the first screen that is displayed when you log in DaouOffice. It consists of several gadgets. Since a gadget shows a shortcut to a menu or dynamically changing data, you can check the needed information in real-time by configuring the needed gadgets in the dashboard.
There are two types of dashboard.
Company Dashboard– This is the default dashboard and displayed as Company Portal. You will move to the Company Dashboard by clicking the logo at the upper left corner of every menu. The Company Dashboard is the same to all users and managed by the administrator. Each user can add or delete gadgets in or from the Company Dashboard depending on how it is configured.
Individual Dashboard – It is a dashboard that each user can create and arrange the gadgets in any preferred way.
Contact a site administrator to inquire about the dashboard operator and privilege.
Following gadgets can be added to a dashboard.
HTML Editor - A user can add a gadget using HTML.
Quick Menu - This is a set of icons that can be used to move directly to key menus, such as Write Mail, Write Post, and Add Event.
ToDO+ - A list of cards generated by ToDO+ is displayed.
Shortcut to My Community - A list of communities to which a user has joined is displayed. Click a community name to move to the community.
Mail List - This is a list of mailboxes.
Shortcut to Mailbox - A shortcut icon for a frequently accessed mailbox can be created. The mailbox must be selected from the default mailboxes (Inbox, Sent) and quick search mailboxes (Read, Attached).
Security Center - Blocked and inspected mail, such as spam and virus mail, can be checked at a glance using a gadget. “Security Center” function is displayed only when it is checked for use by admin.
Date of Birth - Employees’ dates of birth are displayed each month. Date of birth is displayed on the gadget only when it has been entered in the employee’s personal information.
Task Folder Status - Task status is visually displayed through horizontal bar/circle/speed graphs. A gadget can be easily configured under a theme.
Shortcut to Reservation - A list of assets is displayed. A user can click an asset to move to the page.
Reports to Write - A list of reports to be generated by a user is displayed. A user can move to the screen for report generation by clicking Write Report.
Recent Posts in Company Board - Recent posts in the board are displayed.
Classic View - The registered postings are displayed in a text format.
Album View - Photos registered at the top are preferentially displayed. If photos are not registered to posts, the posts are not displayed.
Thumbnail View - Photos and text of the registered posts are concurrently displayed. If photos are not registered to postings, only the text is displayed.
Recent Posts in Community Board - Recent posts in communities which user has joined are displayed. For the view types, refer to Recent Posts in the company board.
eApproval Folder - A list of documents for approval is displayed.
Recently Bookmarked Posts - The bookmarked posts in the board are displayed.
Ongoing Surveys - A list of surveys in which user needs to participate is displayed. Click Respond to move to the survey participation screen.
Recent Logins - Recent login data is displayed (up to 10 logins).
Recent Notifications - Notifications from mail, board, community, and calendar are displayed in chronological order.
Calendar - Calendar and schedule by date are displayed.
Today Profile - This menu is used to move to the user’s profile (photo, name, division) and key menus.
Attendance Management - The users’ start, finish, and status of task can be registered and total weekly and monthly work hours can be checked by attendance group.
Security Center menu can be accessed only when TERRACE MAIL Security, a product of Daou Office, is linked.
TERRACE MAIL Security is an integrated email security solution that provides SPAM blocking, APT defense, outbound email security and email backup functions. For details, click the product name to open its information page.
Some of above gadgets may not be displayed depending on the administrator’s setting or license agreement. Inquire the site administrator if the gadget you need is not displayed.
2.2Dashboard Management
The Company Dashboard is provided to all users by default. A user can add his or her gadgets to create My Dashboard.
Additional Dashboards
A user can add his or her dashboard. Up to 4 dashboards can be added.
Click + next to the Company Dashboard at the top of the screen. A dashboard will be added.
Click the Admin icon (
) next to the dashboard name to change the dashboard name or add a gadget.

Editing a Dashboard
A dashboard can be changed of name or deleted. A Company Dashboard administrator can decide whether to grant the privilege to add or delete a gadget in the Company Dashboard to a user.
Select a dashboard to edit from the dashboard list at the top of the screen.
Click the Admin icon (
) next to the selected dashboard name. The Admin icon is displayed only when the dashboard is selected.
Allow Gadget Addition - This function is displayed only in the company dashboard editing screen. Select Allow to enable users to add gadgets to the company dashboard or to delete gadgets from the dashboard.
When Do Not Allow is selected, only the dashboard admin. can add or delete gadgets.
Name - This is the name of the dashboard displayed at the top of screen. Click the Modify icon next to the dashboard name to modify it.
Delete - This function is displayed only in the personal dashboard editing screen. Click Delete to delete a dashboard that has been added by a user.

Deleting a Dashboard
An individual dashboard added by a user can be deleted at anytime.
Select a dashboard to delete from the dashboard list at the top of the screen.
Click the Admin icon (
) next to the selected dashboard name. The editing screen of the selected dashboard is displayed.
Click the Delete button at the top right of the screen to delete the dashboard.
The Company Dashboard cannot be deleted.
Layout Setting
The screen layout can set to place the gadgets in three or five columns. It is easier to check the overall screen view when the layout is selected before the gadgets are configured. It is recommended to set the layout first in any case since the gadgets may be deleted when the layout is changed.
Changing the layout is described as follows:
Select a dashboard to edit from the dashboard list at the top of the screen.
Click the Admin icon (
) next to the selected dashboard name. The editing screen of the selected dashboard is displayed.
Click Layout. Multiple layout icons will be displayed.
2 columns + side (default) –A side menu is display on the left hand side, and the gadget can be laid out in two columns.
3 columns in same width - The screen is divided into 3 columns.
Sides fixed (3 columns) - The widths of side columns are fixed, and the width of the middle column is set according to the width of the browser.
Sides fixed (5 columns) - The widths of side columns are fixed, and the width of the middle column is set according to the width of the browser.
Select a layout and click Save.
2.3Dashboard Settings
Adding a Gadget
The gadgets can be placed in the dashboard.
Select a dashboard to add a gadget from the dashboard list at the top of the screen.
Click the Admin icon (
) next to the selected dashboard name. The editing screen of the selected dashboard is displayed.
Click Add Gadget. A list of gadgets is displayed below it.
Click a gadget. The selected gadget is added into the dashboard, and the Settings options are displayed.
Select a Settings option. Different options are displayed according to the selected gadget.
Updated – The data are updated in the given interval. Its benefit is that the information is updated in real-time even when the Update button is not clicked. However, the server may be overloaded if the update interval is set too short.
Output count – The option is need by the Recent notices or Recent logins gadgets. It specifies the maximum number of notices or logins to be displayed.
Days displayed – The option is needed by the Calendar gadget. It specifies the maximum number of days to be displayed.
Gadget boundary – The gadget boundaries are displayed in gray lines by default. Click Bold to display the boundaries in thicker lines.
Click Save after all options are set.
Click Close Editing at the top of the screen when the editing is completed.
A gadget can be added multiple times.
Deleting a Gadget
The gadgets can be deleted from a dashboard.
Select a dashboard to delete a gadget from the dashboard list at the top of the screen.
Click the Admin icon (
) next to the selected dashboard name. The editing screen of the selected dashboard is displayed.
Place the mouse over the gadget you wish to delete from the dashboard. The trash bin icon will be displayed. Click the trash bin icon.
Click Delete when the confirmation message is displayed.
Changing Gadget Settings
The Settings of a gadget can be changed.
Select a dashboard to delete a gadget from the dashboard list at the top of the screen.
Click the Admin icon (
) next to the selected dashboard name. The editing screen of the selected dashboard is displayed.
Click the Edit icon (
) next to the name of the gadget to change Settings.
Set the option and click Save.
Changing the Gadget Order
The order of gadgets can be changed in drag & drop in the dashboard edit mode.
Select a dashboard from the dashboard list at the top of the screen.
Click the Admin icon (
) next to the selected dashboard name. The editing screen of the selected dashboard is displayed.
Place the mouse over the title of a gadget to move. The mouse cursor is changed to an Arrow icon (
).
When the mouse cursor is changed to an Arrow icon (
), drag the gadget to a new position.
2.4Integrated Search
A user can search for data in all menus by entering the search keyword in the home page. The input keyword is displayed in bold in the search result. You can move to the relevant screen by clicking an item in the search result.
The special characters are not searched since they are not indexed. When numbers and characters are separated by a space, each word must be complete. For example, to search for ‘Apple’, the complete word must be entered. Inputs of ‘App’ or ‘ple’ will not search the word Apple.

If you input the keyword in the input box in the home page, you do not need to specify the detailed search condition.
Enter the search word in 2 or more characters and 64 or fewer characters in the search box at the upper right corner of the screen.
Click the Search icon (
).
When entering the search word, the searched item is the same as the basic search of each menu. In the e-mail menu for example, the search word will be searched in Sender, Recipient, CC, Title, and Attached file name. Refer to the basic search of each menu to find the items searched during the integrated search.
If you want to search the contents of the attached file or specify the period, use the detailed search function of the integrated search.
Click the Arrow (
) next to the basic search window.
Configure the search items.
Check Search attached files to search even the contents of the attached files.
To specify the search period, select a defined period or select the start and stop date with the calendar given in the direct input.
Click Search.
