20.Beginning App

This function is not standard with basic license agreement. It is enabled only after service license (Mobile) is purchased and registered. Even when the license was registered, the mobile app cannot be used if Mobility and Mobile app is set to Use in [Domain/Site mgmt. > Site list > Site details] of System admin.


Contact the system administrator if you cannot use the mobile app.

DaouOffice provides the mobile app to be used in iOS and Android based mobile devices. Using the app, the users can check the e-mails or chat with colleagues even when they are moving. Moreover, the user can check the articles posted in the Board and community as well as the schedule in the calendar just as the user would with the web application.

The mobile app also features convenient functions such as making a call to a colleague by tapping the colleague’s profile page, sending SMS, mobile chatting and sending e-mail to help collaboration and making an urgent call to a colleague in the office from outside.

Specification for App Installation

The minimum specification to install DaouOffice mobile app is described as follows:

20.1Installation

DaouOffice app can be downloaded through a web browser such as Safari and Chrome.

The app can be downloaded in the following way:

  1. Run a web browser such as Safari and Chrome then enter the DaouOffice address in the address window.

    (ex) http://mydomain.com

  2. Enter the Account and Password then tap Login.

  3. Tap Download app at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Tap Install in the installation message popup window.

In an Android mobile device, you can install the DaouOffice app only after checking

[Setting>Security>Unknown source].

You can use the service with the mobile web even the mobile app is not installed. The basic functions of each menu are available in mobile web, but the employee information (Organization Tree), chatting and notification functions are available only in the mobile app.

The menu displayed on each screen may differ according to the registered license.

In Android mobile devices, Daou Office app can be installed only when [Settings > Security > App of Unknown Source] is checked.

For the iOS 8 version, corporate app reliability settings were carried out through popup.

However, from the updated iOS 9 version, reliability settings for corporate app must be separately completed.


iPhone users must complete settings as above in case of update to iOS 9.

20.2App Login

After the installation, tap the app icon to run the app.

It should be noted that this manual uses the screen capture of iPhone version. The images and menus will basically be the same in the Android based devices, but the menu name and icon may differ slightly.

You can login an app in the following way:

  1. If you are logging in for the very first time, you need to input the service address. The server address is needed only once since it is stored in the system.

    (ex.) mydomain.com

  2. Click Next.

  3. Enter the ID and password.

    If you check Auto login, you do not have to enter the ID and password again.

  4. Tap Login.

When a one-time password or OTP is enabled by the administrator, users must go through a normal login (entering ID and password) and then enter an OTP (issued in the App) to login the App. For more information on the OTP authentication process, please consult your site administrator.



You can find your OTP under ‘DaouOffice App Settings > OTP Authentication’.

You can select the synchronization option of the calendar and Contacts after logging in DaouOffice from an Android mobile device. When the calendar and Contacts are synchronized, they can match the schedule and Contacts in the web.

20.3App Logout

You can log out of an app to log in with another account. It is recommended to terminate an app without logging out unless the logout is needed. If you terminate an app without logging out, you do not need the login procedure again later and receive the push message from the app even when the app is not running.

  1. Tap Setting in the menu bar to log out of an app.

  2. Tap Log out of account on the screen.

You can reenter the DaouOffice server address after checking Initialize server address. If the server address is changed, check Initialize server address and tap Logout of account.
